SRB2 Heroes

I can confirm that it's still there, in both Software and OpenGL.

Make sure you choose 1 as the value for weather, 6 is the same thing but with no lightning.

Ooooooooooooooo

Jeez, those screenshots make me want to actually play SRB2 again. Keep up the good work!

First of all, thank you! And yes, at first I wanted the music to be a mix of both acts, but at the end I decided to only use 1 music per level. For example, Seaside Palace has Seaside Hill music, but Rail Station has Bullet Station Music. I use the music that fits the level the most.

I agree with this, but I also like most of the tracks from Sonic Heroes, like "Power Plant" and "Casino Park", as well as "What I'm Made Of"

"What I'm Made Of" will probably be used in this mod.
Unless you find another suitable song for the fight versus Metal Overlord, yeah, you're kinda forced to use it. Speaking of which, pretty curious on how Boss Fights are...

Well, to be honest, I havent made any bosses yet, but Eggman and Metal Sonic will show up at the end of the final level.

Today I started Egg Fortress but progress is slow at the moment.

This is looking pretty awesome, and given how much time I spent on Sonic Heroes, its even more exciting.

Eggman and Metal Sonic? Eggman never was a boss in Sonic Heroes at any point of the game. It was Metal Sonic disguised as Eggman :p even Egg Emperor was Metal Sonic, as Eggman was locked up atm.

Anyways, looking at the pictures, I can tell this will be a great mappack, as the sa1 mappack was. Good progress, can't wait for its release.

Well... I said Eggman but it could be Metal Sonic in a custome (because... why not?). And I learned from my mistakes on the SADX mod, so hopefully this will be a better level pack :)

Every single airship being perpendicular to the one you're standing on DOES look uncomfortable, yeah, but I'm assuming this can easily be remedied by putting the scenery to the sides of the skybox, so I'm not worried.

Here hoping you got some skybox clouds planned for the background, because the skies do feel a little bit empty with the default background going on.

Heh, that pic reminded me of the old egg fleet wad I made a long while back
attachment.php

6 levels done eh? Can't wait for release.

Yeah, I remember your wad! They look almost identical hehe. Egg Fleet is not easy to make... gonna take a while.

One thing that kind of bothers me is that the texture rips don't really seem to mesh well with SRB2's existing sprites and skybox.... And that's just because Sonic Heroes uses highly detailed textures to simulate a hyper-realistic environment, and SRB2 is all cartoony. It's probably not an easy fix, I imagine you would have to either redo the character/enemy sprites or edit all of the textures to be more basic and cell-shaded. Maybe get a spriter to help out there?

That being said, I can tell your skills have improved and the levels look interesting enough, so keep at it.

Yes, thats basically the main problem of most level based packs for SRB2. I should replace some enemies sprites... but maybe for the next version, since I am focusing on levels right now. Also thanks for the compliment! I am trying to make this level pack better than my previous wads (SA2 mod, SADX mod) :)
