How do you play?

Recently moved to Mouselook. Great for turning, absolutely great. Although, I haven't found much use for strafe. Maybe it's because I mainly play single player.....

Strafing is helpful in single player for dealing with enemies that fire projectiles, Jetty-syn Gunners especially. You circle strafe, wait for them to fire, and then hit them. It's also good for doing minor adjustments to your jump in midair.
 
I use my green and pretty joystick, i have the buttons 1 and 2 for jump, 4 for ring throw, 6 as lightdash, 8 as spin, 7 as taunt, 5 as resetcam, 10 as rankings, 9 as console (or quick console, quicker than my hand, my finger.) and stick 2 for strafing.
 
Strafing only helps ME because it helps me gain speed.

I use the plain Keyboard in 1-P and use my 360 controller when I am Tails in splitscreen.
 
I use the keyboard and that's good enough for me. That's how it's always been. I use ASD as Lightdash, Spindash, and Jump because they feel comfortable, I can rest my pinky on the Shift key, (fire normal ring) and it's close to the console. Never had a use for strafing, because strafing means I can't see where I'm going. That's not good in single player, because there are normally enemies around every corner.

I thought we had a couple topics like this before.

I play with a joystick and a mouse in netgames. I use just the joystick in Single player mode.
 
I basicly do the same thing as BlueZero4, which is by using the mouse, but I also use the keyboard for going forward, backward, and I only use the mouse for the mouselook and turning left and right, but I also use strafe as well, mainly for the dodging like Mystic said.
 
Mouse + keyboard. I use the keyboard for moving, flag-throwing/light-dashing, and my talk button, using WASD, shift and space, respectively.

My mouse is to turn and aim, right click is jump and left is fire. Spinning is the middle button. I use first person view all the time.
 
I used to play with a keyboard and mouse, however I've just bought a Saitek P2900 Wireless Gamepad last sunday (It looks like a PS2 Controller except has 6 buttons on the right instead of 4). So expect smoother controls for me.

I've assigned a shoulder button to toggle strafing.
 
I use the keyboard, but Alam was using the Wii Remote in a movie I found on his website, so I hope he releases that to us all, cause I'm getting a Wii soon.

Mmmmmmmm; The joy-styck is why you're so tallented at escort in CTF. We need more people like you.
