Can sombody walk me through this adding in characters, .wads things?

Bring down the console by pressing the ~ key. Type in "ADDFILE <filename>.wad" without quotes.

Another question, why is it somtimes when I host a game and give my friends my IP, they can't get in. They're stuck at the shaking finger screen but frozen

Port 5029 UDP must be open for you to be able to host a multiplayer game. If it isn't, other people will not be able to join.

Somtimes they get in. But somtimes they can't. Somtimes one persons in and another can't pop in

You gotta set the player limit.
I think it's "PLAYERLIMIT (However many people you think can be on your server without laggiing)."

It's at 32. It's been at 32. By the way, are the .wad chars supposed to stay in permanently or just for that game

They stay loaded until you close the game.

Hey, the commands for character wads isn't "SKIN" instead of "ADDFILE"?

My bad. ^^; Anyway can anybody help me with my Icon? It's 144 x 135. How do I put it up? In profile it says to put the site in, I do yet it doesn't work.

If it uses the .png/bmp/pcx/ect. at the end, nothing I would hope.
If the URL does not have a .something at the end, try imageshack.
