I just remembered the first time I played Sonic.

It was on Sega Genesis...Aww,that was the nicest game of sonic i ever player...once today...

But, when i was looking for things on Newgrounds, I found my Favorite STH 2 song!...Chemical Plant Zone Theme.

And now im listening it on Mp3 because of this...awesome...What did you liked the most on STH 2?

Say what you think about it!
 
It's the first Sonic game I recall playing. My babysitter had a Genesis when I was small, and while a lot of the time was spent with me watching the bigger kids play the system, I'd sometimes give it a go, along with the NES games that were there, such as TMNT, Bucky O'Hare, SMB, and SMB3.

I think I got to Metropolis once. By now, of course, I've beaten the game, but I still have yet to get all of the emeralds.
 
I remember it too! That was one of my favourites. In fact, my first game I've ever played. What I really liked about it was it's difficulty. trying to beat it in one sitting can be quite frustrating.
 
It was the first Sonic game I played too. Chemical Plant scared the bejeezus out of me when I was younger, what with the garish background, sinister music, and difficult Act 2.

I gotta admit though, out of Sonic 1, Sonic 2, and Sonic 3+K, Sonic 2 is my least favorite. The other two titles have levels that are much more well-defined and substancial. With Sonic 2, it doesn't hardly take much effort at all to sprint though the levels, making them more forgetable.

Mecha Sonic and the Death Egg (end boss) really rocked my world when I was younger, though.

Sonic 2 was a ok game, It is how ever beat by S3&K.
My favorite things in it would have to be:
  • The game's boss songs, both of them are awesome.
  • Death Egg Zone: While it is short and has a bad level song, the bosses are awesome.
  • Chemical Plant Zone: Awesome level theme, and awesome music.
So yeah, it was a cool game me and my bro used to play together on it when I first got SMCP.
 
Sonic 2 was my first Sonic game. I remember watching someone playing the first boss.When I got all the chaos emeralds I ran to tell my brother (forgetting to pause) and when I came back I miss the sign "Sonic can now go Super sonic" So when I did go super I had no clue what happened . If I recall correctly,we call him B.T.L.
(back to [the] level) because one of the slopes in Casino Night zone bugged up. Putting me to the front of the level.

Later when I did it again I saw this name was Super Sonic and you need 50 rings and you lose 1 rings per sec.

So even though I think the best one of the sonic games was S3&k Sonic 2 is my favorite! ^^
 
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is probably my second favorite Sonic game with Sonic CD being my first. Best zone in the game is Casino Night.
 
Ah, Sonic 2.
The second Sonic game I ever played with the First being Sonic 1 on the Genesis, Only when I first played Sonic 2, It was on Sega Smash Pack 2.

Still, I was hooked to my Computer screen for hours and hours.
 
You know, as much as I love Sonic 2, there was always just one little problem with it. Jumping shouldn't have made you go super instantly.

Sonic 2 was one of my favorite sonic games. IMO, its far better then the first due to the fact emeralds actually did something. And they were very easy to get.

Oh, the final boss was way more epic then Sonic 1's.

Epic fail post is epic. They added that "shield prevents Super" feature in Sonic 3. In Sonic 2 you go Super if you jump regardless. I frequently don't get the emeralds in Sonic 2 for this reason.

It was a better game, but not because emeralds did something. You should be getting them just for the fun of it. Besides, Super Sonic ruins the game, he makes things trivial. Though it is fun to do Wing Fortress as Super Sonic for an extra challenge.

Oh god. As a child, I didn't know you could hit that boss above the spike arms, so I did it by hitting him between the arm and the leg. That boss is INSANELY hard if you do it this way. It wasn't until far later I figured out the proper way to do it.
 
Sonic 2 is definitely a great game, but it's definitely not the best Sonic game there is. The Super Sonic glitch at the end of every level really pissed me off.
 
I liked the game too. It has awesome levels and music. My only gripe is that Tails can't fly on his own which is pretty illogical since if he was with Sonic he could, and only if he died.
 
Casino night Zone was good too.It was my favorite level in multiplayer mode.

But my favorite level still Emerald hill Zone.It is nice to see Green things!

My favorite Multiplayer level is Casino Night Zone(As i said 4-5 line above)and my Favorite song is Chemical Plant Zone.

As i say in my first topic, I listen it day and night(or something like that XD).

I am happy That many people likes Sonic The Hedgehog 2 !

Useless thing in it is that Tails always folowing you, but...he is realy usefull to beat boss(Double damage =) )

Plus, don't jump after you hit the sign-post if you have more than 50 rings and all the emeralds! You'll start the animation to go super, but revert to normal and stay suspended in the air, preventing you from completing the act! This is especially awful when you remember that you'll have to restart the entire game. I can't tell you how many times this has happened to me on Hill Top Zone.

Plus, it's kind of fun just to go through the levels without blitzing cheaply through them. The majority of the levels are easy enough!
 
I love this game more than any other Sonic 2 game (S3&K and sonic CD are FAR too overrated, IMHO), but I never got those emeralds...

I NEVER GOT PAST WHITE. I GOT ALL THE EMERALDS IN S1, S3&K, AND ALMOST ALL OTHER SONIC GAMES, AND I CANT GET PAST FREAKING WHITE. WHAT THE HELL.

I just can't do those damn tubes. Lousy things.
 
I rarely get all the emeralds either, but not for lack of trying. I usually start SS7 on CPZ2, and finally get the damn emerald (if i get it at all) on Wing Fortress's last post. Didn't play with SuperSonic until I found the sequence 04, 01, 02, 06. This was my first Sonic game. because of that, Sonic 1 was frustrating to me because I couldn't spindash or find the seventh (which wasn't there ATT) emerald.
I remember that accursed pit in Mystic Cave: WORST. LEVEL. DESIGN. IDEA. EVER.
