Help with game startup

Has anyone had a problem with the game when you first installed it. When i started my game, my screen said it wasnt getting any signal. Its realy odd and i dont know how to get it to show.
 
The game is trying to use a resolution your video card accepts but your monitor doesn't.

Solution: use the launcher or the command line to force a resolution you know that works, then make it the default in the options screen.
 
You're welcome. I know this because I triggered this same problem several times with other programs, specially DOS ones and when messing up directly with the VGA registers :)
