Sonic The Genesis (Demo 2)

I played this mod yesterday, and I managed to beat all the levels with ease. The levels are too short, easy to beat, not interesting at all... yet at least you didn't make the levels that cramped, and you've put in a thok barrier, unlike most levels I've seen from most other new users here.

Another thing - why did you make all the multiplayer levels selectable in Level Select?

Any thing you think is hard, is probably a mattress. Especially, if you called the first two Zones hard.

The multiplayer levels in level select is a glitch sorry I dont know how to fix that.

I think I might know how to. Did you add "levelselect = 1" to the map headers of the multiplayer levels? If so, then remove them.

Still not that great. Better than the old one, though. Enemy placement needs work; consistency on the behavior of water sectors would be nice; and the level needs to have multiple paths.

Yeah! I did put LEVELSELECT = 1 so I should just put LEVELSELECT = 0???

As SonicMaster said, yes. But you could also remove levelselect from the level header, because it's unneeded for the multiplayer levels.

Well, Wind, all I have to say is... COOL! But I was anticipating a Sonic the Hedgehog style game. You know, the 2.5D camera style, the remake of classic levels like Green Hill Zone, final boss... But It's still ok. 8/10

You obvoiusly haven't played it through, or can't tell between (No offence said here) a not so well made level pack & a good level pack. But there are a small few things which are ok, but not very great.

Put it this way DSFSL, play this mod, and a different mod e.g. Blue Heaven. You would see a Heck of a lot of difference in terms of design & effort. Play every level of this mod, and play most levels of Blue Heaven. By the time you've done that, you should be able to tell the difference. Seriously, you can't really score 8/10 for this amount of effort. To score THAT high, you need to put a major heck of an effort towards the mod, although I can see Wind is getting better slowly when releasing that CTF map. Have a look at it, and you'll see what I mean =/

This is not negative nor offensing post, it's partly advice, and part getting the right facts right.

Uploading screenies

About uploading screenies, I luv HMTL, so I use <img src="">
You could get a Google Sites account to upload your images onto.
And how do you do tags without the browser interpreting them? you ask. Well you use &ampersand; and... links: <a href=""gt;

OUCH!!! after looking at this post, maybe you shouldn't use HTML......

Okay, played it.

2/10

This isn't a Level pack. This is small 30 second tidbits that involve using shields to complete one "level". Seriously. I had NO fun playing this, and i'll be suprised if you took more than three minutes on ANY of these.

Goddamn it man! You don't put 80 Jetty-Syn's and Jetty-Syn Bombers in the middle of the level with less than THREE RINGS due to a horrible level! In all sence of the word, the Single Player levels fail. I haven't tried the Multi-Player levels yet from fear of how bad they may be.

Put more effort in next time

...

What? I don't have to be nice when I do reviews.

Wait, How do this pass the Judges?

Welcome to Releases - Submissions!

This new forum section is designed to help remove the flood of terrible WAD files from the releases section. Instead of posting directly into releases, you now post your topic here, and if your topic is approved by one of the judges, it will be moved into the appropriate releases section. If it is rejected, it will be moved to the trash.

Topics posted here cannot be replied to until they are moved into the appropriate section.

To avoid having your file rejected, abide by the following guidelines:

1. Supply screenshots and a description of your WAD. Nobody wants to download something without knowing what it is.

2. Make sure your submission does not violate rule #12 of the forums. As a reminder: Recolors, sprite rips, music replacements and timer socs are not acceptable here.
3. Make sure your post doesn't violate any other forum rules. Use good spelling and grammar, and make sure your post and submission are appropriate.
4. Make sure your submission is fun! If your file is just an ugly room with 300 Crawlas, that's not particularly fun or interesting. Don't submit your first creation, and make sure to add some polish before you submit.

You guys don't need to post here no more because this project has been stoped kthxbye.
