Try to run SOCEdit as administrator.

(I experienced that error. I run it as adminstrator and it worked.)

Good luck for the fix.

I'm using the administrator account on Windows XP, and what you said didn't help. I'm assuming that could fix something else in say, Vista, but it didn't make a difference, as I'm already the administrator of this computer.

Nobody has any insight into this AT ALL? Not even any of the developers? Some reliable information would be appreciated here. I wouldn't dare go onto #SRB2Fun, because that doesn't ever get any answers.

Strangely i never saw this error before so i could not tell whats going on.
EDIT' Wow im I the only one who dont that frozin thing?

Because of the WEAPON_SFX define, the SOC editor sees two entries corresponding to the thrown weapons' seesound. This trips it up, causing it to crash.

You all are lucky,I can't even open Edit Sounds,Edit Cutscenes,Edit Level Headers,Edit Things or Edit States. It tell me "Run-time error '53':File not found

Thank you. Now my question is, will there ever be a fix for it?
(Even though it seems to be a source code problem...)
