Is it possible to make one linedef executor cancel out the effects of another?

I'm trying to make an uber-complex gimmick, and the ideal way to construct it would involve making it so that if the player executes a certain linedef executor, it prevents another one from even starting up. Can you think of any way that this could be done? Or perhaps indirectly simulated?
 
Oh man, why didn't I think of that? I'll try doing that.

BTW, this gimmick is in fact an attempt to spice up the button puzzle in GCZ2. Once it's complete, I'll explain it in the topic.
