Ringtones

I don't know if anyone is familiar with this, but I have a problem with getting a mid to be used as a cell phone's ringtone. I have uploaded it in the right directory, and I can play it through its media player. Unfortunately, it doesn't show up on the ringtone list. Does anyone know how to fix this? If it matters, it is a motorola v188.

I think ringtones have to be .wav format.

Ok, I tried to apply it as a mid, but it didn't work; so I will try that.

I dunno about this. I think ringtones might need to be in MP3 format. Seeing as whatever site I get them off of are in MP3 format.

I tried mp3 because wav was too big. It doesn't work, though. When I apply as ring tone, it does not apply it. When I go to where it should be on the ringtone menu, it goes back to the "desktop".

I can use MIDIs on my LG VX5200 just fine. Try using BitPim to put the ringtones on your phone.

I can use midis and MP3s on my Razr..
