Sorry, I misread this one. I thought the bands you listed were the ones you thought of as small indie bands. My fault. I should've looked at the "And" at the beginning.

That list freaked me out. I despise all of the bands I know on this list (which are most) except Metallica's older stuff (but you probably listen to the new stuff). Seriously, if you think this is heavy music you don't know any of the following:

Death
Exodus
Kataklysm
Obituary
Slayer
Unleashed

I just have too much stuff to listen to, I can't list everything. I like Cannibal Corpse, Amon Amarth, Slayer, Carcass...

Hey, it said list favourites. :P And besides, if there's something heavier - it doesn't make it any less heavier. I never said anything about "heavy", anyway. I do listen to older Metallica - don't assume I don't. St Anger was rubbish, latest album (Death Magnetic) is pretty good, but fuck yeah, Master of Puppets and 'Justice for All.

And thanks - I've been looking for some new stuff to listen to. And personally, I despise the whole "hate it, it's not the same".

(And Slipknot? Not heavy? I listened to those bands and don't believe that)

Yeah, I like metal.
I like all kinds/genres of music, except blues, jazz, or anything overrated and poppy.

And you suck for being intolerant. While Dream Theater may be incredible musicians, their compositions feel very uninspired.

Also, Bigboi insta-rocks for liking Sonic Youth :P
