How do I make a platform with no walls?

All the platforms I make for my level have walls. How do I make a platform WITHOUT Walls?

You mean a floating platform with a top and a bottom, but no walls between them? For that, use any FOF with "No Sides" in its description, like Linedef Type 104.

When I set the platform to "Solid: No Sides", your player just falls down into an endless pit and dies. ._.

I don't understand. What exactly did you do? Did the platform show up? Why is there a bottomless pit?

Well, when I tested the map after changing the platform's settings, it showed REDWALL as the skybox, and the top of the platform was invisible. The walls weren't there (like I wanted), but neither was the top or bottom of the platform.

What flats did you use for the top and bottom?

Sorry for being so late, but you apparently have no idea how to make an FOF. Please read this before you continue. FOFs aren't made by simply giving a linedef on the sector type 104, you need to make a separate control sector and tag it to the in-level sector.
