C. As in the programming language. That's used to make almost every single commercial game out there.
 
Yeah, I know that commercial games use C++. It's just that my sentence would sound funny otherwise... I dunno.
 
Actually, you'll be surprised at how many commercial titles do NOT use C++.

C++ is slower than C, so that obviously does not necessarily make it a good choice for games. It's good for writing a wrapper around an interface.
 
Well, technically, it was originally planned to be written in TGF/MMF, but SSNTails decided to rewrite it in C instead.
