character select in single player

after finding out how to remove player 2 in splitscreen game, as usual i had a play around with it (and realized that it says many commands i didn't know when going on help, as i get off STARS). i found out in a single player game it is possible to change your player and colour. so i made a video showing you how:

(it's better then having player 2's screen in the way or not being able to use cheats or save when hosting a game).
the good thing is, it doesn't modify the game!
note: if you like using character wads if you put on the mystic realm wad it wont modify the game either... just thought i'd say that.

You can save while hosting a netgame. Just type save + the number in the console.

here's another way to level select in mystic realm (a better way) and it still doesn't modify the game (apart from you'll need to put on god mode when you enter mystic realm zone).

jade coast - verdent forest A1-A9

warp zone AZ (if it still works)

You don't need god mode if you're skilled enough. As soon as you enter, grab the closest ring and dash through, collecting more as you go. As you get hit, grab more and continue.

isn't the level based over a bottomless pit?

It is (or used to be) placed over a damage (Non-elemental) sector type...

i have no idea what that is, but sounds interesting.
