Uh, what? Are you saying that you can get viruses on IRC and not on AIM? You've got to be joking. It is possible to send files using either of those chat mediums, thus you can get viruses on either.

Besides, we've already established a stable, popular IRC channel. If your so worried that you'll catch a virus, just don't DCC receive any files from people you don't trust.

Where in the world are you downloading IRC, that you get viruses? And do you not have any type of firewall at all?
