Sonic cd error on the window xp

Do any one who have sonic cd on the pc and a xp get error that say (The procedure entry point SMaps_IP_EBP_12 could not be located in the dynamic link library kernel 32.dll) and does any one have a way to fix

Sonic CD doesn't work on XP. You're better off with Gens and Sega CD + Sonic CD isos.

BS. There've been patches out for it for ages. Like this.

Overwrite the exe with the patched one.
