This article on destructoid reveals that Sega has slipped up yet again and someone has downloaded a PR document listing a number of different things in the works. Most seems to be standard stuff, except:

Sonic Anniversary
Could put out collectors edition with all old sonic games on one BD disc.
“Best of Sonic” for around $99.
SCEA would love PSN exclusive power ups/different game modes (like Castlevania's flip it over/backwards)
A Sonic collection to end all Sonic collections it sounds like. $99? This must be a giant ass collection in the works if that's the case. That's it for details though.

All I have to say is: It better be an end-all kind of deal here. Just thought I'd alert you all. The source thread is filled with declarations of C&D notices.

All the kool kids already have all the old games. I think this is just a way to milk more money from people who like buying collections. I know I have, like, 5 copies of Sonic 2 (Genesis, Sega Smash Pack 2 for PC, Virtual Console, Sonic Mega Collection, Sonic Gems Collection). And I have a ROM of it anyways. X_X

Another collection? well, I´m glad it is sold by only 99$ if I multiply that by 6... Damn, it is the same price!

I always thought it would be nice if we got Sonics 1 through 3+K and CD on one disk. But I ain't shelling out $99 unless this thing also massages your feet and dispenses lilac scents, all while playing relaxing jazz.

And has SegaSonic Arcade and Knuckles Chaotix. And the Japanese and American soundtracks for CD.

If it only has Genesis games, then I rather get an emulator. Saturn games, like Sonic R, I'll just get Gems Collection instead. Now if it actually has SA2 in it, then sure, I'll get it. I would need to actually buy a PS3 first, though.

"Old Sonic games" is still way too vague. We need more information.

I hope to see the following games in it:
Sonic 1
Sonic 2 *looks at name*
Sonic 3 ( Along with S&K, or just S3&K)
Sonic CD
Sega sonic arcade
Sonic fighters?
After that I have no clue what else.

Sonic Jam's: Sonic's World
Knuckles and Chaotix
SOnic Adventure
Sonic Adventure 2
Sonic advance 1-3
Sonic Battle
and I guess thats about it.

Here's my definative Sonic compilation disk, if you ever cared to know. *Ahem*...

---The Beef 'n' Potatoes---

Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Sonic the Hedgehog 3+K (The separate games are not necessary)
Sonic CD (With the option to toggle between JPN/PAL and American soundtracks)
Sonic Adventure
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (With the option to transfer Chao data to your Sonic Adventure profile and back)
Sonic Heroes (For some odd reason, I've always enjoyed Heroes)

---As unlockables---

SegaSonic Arcade
Knuckles in Sonic 2
Sonic Spinball (As different as the game is, I still like it)
Blue Spheres
Knuckles Chaotix
Sonic 3D Blast (Saturn Version, please)
Sonic R (Saturn version)
Sonic Rush (Being nit-picky, but it's my favorite of the Advance/Rush series)

---Other games---

Fantasy Zone I and II
Alex Kidd in Miracle World
Flicky
The Phantasy Star series (I through IV)
Outrun 1 and Outrun 2
Puyo Puyo
Ristar (Genesis version, derp)
NiGHTS into Dreams (w/ Christmas features)
Burning Rangers
Chu-Chu Rocket (Dreamcast or GBA version will do)
Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg
Jet Set Radio (Has nothing to do with Sonic, I know, but still an awesome game with an emphasis on speed)

---The Rest of the Crap---

A navigatable "Sonic World" hub with missions and stuff, using the Sonic Adventure engine
Instruction manuals for all versions of all games listed above
A comprehensive sound-test
Detailed information of all released Sonic Team/Sonic games
Profiles of all relevant people related to Sonic Team
The full-lengthed Sonic OVA movie, in Japanese and English
First episodes of AoStH, SATAM, Underground and Sonic X, and summeries for each series
The Sonic Jam opening animation
Cover scans of all Archie, Fleetway and Manga Sonic Comics, and series summeries for each
The complete Disney Adventures comic series
A museum with official art, including massive amounts of rare conceptual art, with Sonic Gem'esque remixes
Japanese commercials
And that's it...

If this doesn't say that you're a Sonic / Sonic Team fag, I don't know what will.

Only if literally every single Sonic game is on this will I even consider getting this. This includes those newer-gen games.

Add in a remake of jet set radio future (I don't believe it's a remake of the original) and I'll maybe buy it.
