I need help creating a character.

I've read the tutorial on the wiki and tried to make a custom character. I have made the OBJCTCFG and S_SKIN1 files as text files, and have downloaded XWE. I would appreciate it if someone were to further explain what I am to do.

Just read the wiki. You need to import the .txt files into the wad you created. It will tell you where to put them and what to do If you look hard enough in the article. Then It'll tell you the basics of making sprites, such as the palette, rotations, and other things.

Okay, got the spriting done, and loaded S_skin1 onto my wad, started SRB2 and tried to run the wad, an error appeared, saying, "R_AddSingleSpriteDef: No patches found for BLOK[1 frame \" What's up with it now?

you put the S_SKIN1 above the first sprite frame
