Actually Jelly, the speed boosters we have now are usually quite cumbersome to work and obviously most newbs will never know how to make them right away. Not to mention the speed pads seem to have some bugs the way they are, like sometimes I could hit one and be launched 983736387629834 miles per hour in a random direction regardless of any line lengths or anything...

But if the speed pad was a simple "Thing" instead it would obviously be a lot easier to work with. Not to mention setting it up would take only a single click at least.
 
Speed pads would never work properly in srb2. This game is more about platforming than speed, and speedpads are mostly unessasary anyway.

Y'know, I could've sworn that the suggestions topic had the "No asking for new levels" rule, but there isn't. Though, I doubt it'd happen anyway, as they're working on the planned zones.

Doubtful. Though, the final line could be done, but it'd have to be definitely finishable with each and every character.

And Toaster, if you want an example of a sunny beach level, even though it isn't really that required to give an example of a SUNNY BEACH LEVEL, Wave Ocean (Sonic the hedgehog/Sonic 06 - PS3) and emerald coast (Sonic adventure DX - Gamecube) would be examples of that kind of level...
 
Well, the speed boosters aren't in any official levels at the moment. And it's a linedef if you're wondering.

Also, the levels can't be put in. The levels have been sorted out and won't be changed, but, you could make one, or it could be an unlockable. Either way, win, win.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a linedef?

So, technically the level could be put in as an unlockable? >v>
Is it hard making levels?
 
Linedefs are components of a map that, well, look like lines. Speed Pad is a special linedef, that when connected to an area in the map, will turn it into a speed pad.

They're pretty useless unless the speed pad forces you to go into a ball.

Well, hopefully someone makes a wad for a transformable single player super tails... Of course, you could also just enter a multiplayer co-op game and just not advertise it on the master server...

That's not how it works. The super forms for Tails and Knuckles are for match and capture the flag only. Going into cooperative mode would remove them just like being in single player does.

Again good idea, but this is for SRB2ME levels not custom levels (besides I don't think the dev team wants to make a casino-themed level for the fun of it or make a slot machine just not to use it.)
 
Uh, no. The SRB2ME suggestions topic is far more about what people want to be able to use than it is about what goes in the official levels, because we've already plotted that out, and know what we want to do.

If you have photoshop, or any program that can rotate sprites at specific angles, then it's actually easy. It just takes time. I know because I've done NiGHTS sprites to all the riders sprites.

Once you have one straight flying sprite, you just rotate it and then clean it. It's a total of 9 sprites, so it's not that bad. The less shading the sprite has, the easier it is to clean it after it got rotated.

And anyone who can code can easily make skins use NiGHTS sprites. The actual player uses a NODRAW flag, and brings in the Super Sonic sprites. You just need to remove that flag, and tell duplicate the flying code so that the player uses it as well.
