I'm in the process of making SRB2 as crash-free as possible, and YOU can help! Whenever SRB2 crashes, it adds an entry to a file called errorlog.txt. This file is located in your SRB2 directory, and I want it! If you have a file by this name, send it to me!

I also want any wads that crash, whether you did something wrong or not. Even if you recorded your dog burping, and stuffed it in a THINGS lump with LumpMod, and it crashes, it shouldn't! I want every wad that crashes, so, if something is wrong with it, I can make SRB2 issue an appropriate error message, and if not, so I can make it work!

You can send me stuff via the little "email" button below this post. Thanks!

Note: E-mail address changed. (The button below still works, but if you'd added me to your address book or something, you'll need to update it.)

Mmm... Dark City's original, apparently scrapped, version was fun for me. I can only imagine what it's like now, with all those Sonic Anime-ish textures and stuff

By original, apparently-scrapped version do you mean that WAD they were giving out as the prize to win the site redesign contest so long ago?

...speaking of which, is it possible it could be released to everyone else, considering a lot of them probably won't wind up 1.1? Or will that not happen until 1.1 is done?

They won't look very nice with the latest SRB2. They probably look OK in Demo 2, though.

They're small and cramped and use a bunch of Doom effects that were taken out. You'd be blocked by purple walls everywhere. They also have no thok barriers, so you'll be thokking out of the map and getting the camera stuck in walls constantly.

Is there any particular reason that you have the three Xs in your "eXXXcellent" emphasized?...

...on second thought, never mind.

Yeah... Marking teh color 147 as part of the player startcolor/endcolor range makes SRB2 crash. Or, I think that's what it is, anyway. In any case, I can't make a character with a range from 1 to 255 so that their whole color changes. Check to see what happens when you use negative numbers or numbers greater then 255 as well.

While not documented, it has to be a range of 16 (technically there only needs to be a 'startcolor' variable)

Tails Base act 2 crashes with a sigsev.

Map 2
Knuckles Dark Blue

Start a netgame. Run around the left side of the base and after you just pass under the bridge, it sigsevs.
Code:
Email Sonic Team Junior so we can fix the bugs
Make sure you tell us what you were doing to cause the crash, and if possible, record a demo!

a441 has been gone for centuries, and I dunno if AJ is listening, so I wouldn't bother posting it, and instead, just emailing, IRCing, or whatever-ing the log to him to try to see what's up.

SSN, if you *are* reading this, correct me while you can

I'm here.

If that URL won't be up for a good while, hotdog, e-mail it to me. I'll check it out when I start working on SRB2 again.
