Why did the call the game Sonic Adventure DX DIrector's Cut?

I don't see how that claim even makes sense. The new extras may not have been too fun, but you were under no obligation to unlock them, and everything else about the two versions was near identical.

DX was extremely glitchy, and had more glitches than the original, for one. Then, they took out a few features that were in the original.

I believe the missions were the cut part and the delux part was Metal Sonic and the Game Gear Games.

It's called "Sonic Adventure Deluxe Edition Directors Cut", according to my SADX exe when I forgot to put the CD in. =P

And the directors cut thing, is they basically added missions, and unlockables, which may have been in the DC version beta.

Or it could just be a 'special edition' type name to help market it with no logic behind it whatsoever.

The graphics got upgraded and they added tons of older games. It's also ported to a system currently used, which is really good.
