If you stand near the right or left edge with a shield, the shield will glitch up and appear above you. This has already been mentioned during 2.0.4, but it still hasn't been fixed yet.
Visual errors are bound to occur with polyobjects -- I'm not sure if fixing this is worth the effort. We've had tons of problems in the past with fixing the location of the shield graphic...
Shields do their own (redundant) height checks which apparently don't factor in everything. Hence shields acting strange near polyobjects and quicksand.
Really, we shouldn't be checking the shield's Z height in the first place.
