I don't think we really need a topic for someone coming back...
It's kind of unnecassary since you can post normally and people would realise.

But I find something awfully wrong with the post above.

I don't mean to back-seat moderate, but please, be reasonable. He probably could've worded that differently. Instead of saying that you're not important he could've said that you shouldn't just make a thread saying that you're back, because it doesn't spark any discussion. You could find other ways of showing that you came back.
