Forum Rules Change

You guys have got to realize that most of our moderators and administrators have outside lives. Some have college, some have jobs, some have the need to collect Yoshi plushies. Point is, they're just people, and if locking an incredibly useless topic will make their job easier, then by all means they should do it.

You have got to realize that to most people, they don't really care about other peoples live over the internet unless they know them in real life, So what I'm trying to say is that even though someone posts that they may care about others lives on the forum, they could care less.... So to me, the moderators here and admins here are just more people to talk to. Not to care about.

At The GHZ forums, there is no explicit rules page. However, any member the administrators see as problematic is terminated, no questions asked.

The result of this? Yes, the active user base consists of about 30 members. However, all these members are intelligent members. This is much better than having 30 "look at this video", "this is my webpage", "plz make me a wad" and "comment on the above <thing>" topics per day.
 
Well, look at it this way. Us forum staff have a good side and a bad side. Because we're so focused on keeping these forums under control, you'll often see our bad side. This leads to a common misconception about our behavior - about how we are all heartless people. That is not the case. Once you get to know us, we can be quite interesting and fun people. IRC is a good place to look for that. Because it's kept under control so well, we can actually be ourselves, and not just the "forum Nazis" that a lot of people think we are.

By the way, you've inspired me to get myself a new avatar, Crazy. :D

FoxBlitzz: I know that you are all good people, and I stated before that the noobs were destroying this place, I was just saying that if these noob keep up it could cause a chain reaction: Noobs= Strict staff, Strict Staff= Strict Rules, Strict rules= Annoyed members, Annoyed members= members wanting to leave. I have nothing against the staff here, just the rules and the noobs here.

Fortunately, members wanting to leave mainly go under the category of noobs. Some newbies may leave as well, but in the end, assuming this does in fact end, it'll work out for the better.

Get it, Sonow? Mods and Admins set rules. You follow those rules or we will, as it says in the description of the Rules forum "BAN YOU WITHOUT REMORSE".

What'd we learn? Follow the set rules without question, damnit.
 
Oh, I'm sorry Mr. Moderator wannabe, I have no problem with the current rules. I said that it may get worse, get your facts straight before you start being a moron and you aren't a moderator, so don't use pronouns such as we. If I had a problem with the rules then I would either be banned or I would have stopped coming here. Now I suggest you shut your mouth, leave this topic, and end this debate now Crazyhedgehog. If you want to continue this take care of it in the PMs. Or you can be an absolute moron and continue it here and get us both suspended for flaming, because I have much more I want to say to you but I can't post it here.
 
The admins and moderators don't need any help with maintaining the forums, so don't act like you're doing them a favor by spouting absolute rubbish, out of your mouth.

That was very rude of you, you should apologize to Harkura, that's the least you can do.

Actually, the only people that get annoyed by new rules are usually the people we want to get rid of. For everyone else, they're usually already following the new rules, so it doesn't really make much of a difference.

Also, no flaming, Sonow Hakura.
 
Is it just me, or do we go through a discussion like this every few months?
 
Funny thing is, if all the new rules keep people away, we'd have a surprising number of people happy around here. There are a great deal of people who think that the influx of new users is destroying the community, after all.
