got back on srb2 and having a hard time.

I have joined srb2 again and I can't seem to figure out a few things, first I downloaded the actual mirror, cool I got the game nice... lets try connecting to the masterserv.... no luck.. not even a load time, so I went back onto the srb2 site and tryed to figure out my problem.. I felt stupid when I didn't read the red letters "NOTE!: The above patch is REQUIRED for online/network play" so I have
and from the looks of it its just a exe to run srb2.. not sure why but it replaced the older 1 and I still have the same prob.. I went to the masterserv forms or whatever and found the netgame joiner.. I get stuck on the page saying joining server on every serv.., I have a good connection so idk whats wrong, any suggestions?
