Nathan Speed, why would you make mighty run on water? He has never ran on water before so why now?

1. Sonic dosen't do it.
2. It'll be FUN.
3. It would kinda fit Mighty's charecter... Kinda... Sorta...

No running on water.

Ability:Thok with a custom thokitem, you can give him the "insta-shield" as a thok object which has MF_MISSILE.

Speed: Maybe 35 or Knuckles' 34.

Acceleration: Close to the same as Sonic maybe a bit more or less.

Spindash: 15-55.

Super: God no.

Thrust Factor: Anything but 1 or 2 since both are broken or something. Might be usable with a higher acceleration.

Sling item: None.

Spin item: Normal?

Thok item: (optional) See above.

Jump Height: Variable.

Waterskip: Eh... also kinda optional.

That's all I got for ideas.

Mighty should have double jump in my opinoin, and be slightly slower than Sonic, if he has thok, I won't even download this wad, just like AmyRE.

Uhm, Dr.P, you shouldn't have to worry about porting the palettes over. XWE should do it for you.
That's definitely not what I meant. :P I was talking about how I would have to basically recolor every last sprite in each WAD into the new palette, more than 1200 sprites in fact.
Yeah, XWE should do that for you. Have you ever tried inserting an image that doesn't fit the SRB2 Pallette into a WAD? XWE automatically adjusts it to fit the pallette.

Nope, never tried it. :P I'd still have to change Blaze's colors, but if I don't have to recolor all of the other WADs, that's quite a relief. :)

Yeah, with color remap you could just change the colors you want changed the click color remap, the only downside is that you have to click the next sprite in the wad and continue clicking it.

People ALWAYS get this angle wrong, no clue why.
Mighty's Jinxed O_o

Nah, Dr.Pepper sounds better, :P and the name really stands out amongst all the members who named themselves after fan characters. xD *try's not to use shot*
Just so you know, I actually made these sprites from my SRB2-Sonic sprite edits. Unlike the old Shadow or Amy WADs, there just wasn't anything I could do to fix MI's old Mighty sprites, so this is actually a completely new Mighty WAD. :D
As for progress on Mighty, I hope to have his front and back walking frames done today, make them into gifs and post 'em here. I'm sorry I haven't been able to work on him much lately, I've been busy, and using all the time I can spare settling into my Linux installations. I still have to figure out how to fix Ubuntu's internet connection and compile SRB2 into a Debian package. I might have to start a topic in Editing Help, because the steps to compile SRB2 are going to be way too specific to follow some random tutorial on compiling apps in Ubuntu.

Harsh? I don't see what he said to be insulting in any way. He was just joking, after all.

I kind of agree with Senku about the Insta-Shield. Team Megamix did that for their game, so why not do it for this game? Unless it's not even possible, in which case, just use double jump instead.

Either way, I can't wait to see the finished product.

I would imagine Insta-Shield being easy. SOC it so that you press the button twice and get a shield for a few seconds, but change it so that it uses Invincibility. Then set it so that the time the Invincibility is up is about two seconds, BAM, insta-shield.

IIRC the insta-shield lasted for about 1/2 a second in S3&K and in megamix it was about the same amount of time.

Uh, actually it's a bit easier that that. Still waiting on approval for if this ability will be used or not then I'll SOC it or something.

:)

The insta-shield idea sounds pretty good, and would make him further different from SRB2 Sonic. If you can soc it Senku, that would be great! :D
