every time I try to play jte a message comes up that says srb2.srb/srb2.wad not found! Expected in c:\documents and settings\thefamily\desktop\srb2rc108, ss files.

Well, keep both the Exe and the Wad in your SRB2 folder. Then click the Exe. What, did you think JTE could run on its own?

Is it possible that you might have a too old version of SRB2?
