Forum Spiders/Crawers

Are these the Good kind, that optimize the Search engine list, or the Bad ones that search for email address in your text and code.
If they find any they'll spam you. =[

Do you guys have a choice if you want these on your site?

It's most likely the first assumption. From what I remember from my 6th grade computer class, Spiders are from what people search on Google. For example, if I search up Dark Sonic on Google Images, Google will find the key words Dark Sonic and it'll most likely pull up a picture of Dark Sonic .wads from here because it matches on what I had searched for.

Correct me if I'm wrong anybody, it's been at least four years since I had learned that.

They're the good kind that are used by search engines to index the forum's content. If they were malicious, do you think they'd advertise their existence and tell us their IP addresses so we could label them on the forums? =P

I knew I was right about Spiders. Now I can rest easily now knowing that I know I didn't post "false information".
