Lag(not netgame)

I just came back to srb2.
I started playing a single player game but it was lagging like ****(Pre-cencosed becuase i dont know the cussing rules lolz). I also expierience this is netgames. More specifically the graphics are lagggggging.
My comptuer specs:
3.0 GHz Dual core AMD
3 GB of ram
Nvidia 8600 GT
500 Gb hard drive

Umm

It doesn't have to be a net-game to lag.

It is probably just stage lag (Try open gl. That may not work though.)
 
Dude, with that power, it should never lag.
OpenGL is the used standard anyway.

For users like me who dont want fancy effects.

As for the topic starters problem, I dont see why ELSE it should lag, Software, OpenGL, Windowed, Whatever.
 
OpenGL is not the default mode because some computers can't run it & because it can have some glitchy graphics.
 
it's back and i dont feel like restarting.
It has nothign to do with affinity already tried that.
when i open cheatengine and put speedhax on 5.0 it works perfectly
any advice?
