Start flying over goop and hold spin and you'll sink:

This might not be a bug, but it makes emblems and emerald tokens under the goop trivial to get.

Plus Knuckles can climb on a wall down into the goop like this, not sure if It's a bug though.

It almost seems intentional to me, considering it was the only apparent way to get a THZ1 emblem.

If you're referring to the one that's really deep in the big lake, then that one can be gotten by climbing a nearby wall as Knuckles and then jumping in. There's probably another way to get it too.

You can Whirlwind Shield from the highest point and get it as well.
