Try This:

You aren't meant to use 1000. FOV only goes up to 360, because it's a measure in degrees. Any higher is unnecessary, as it will just wrap the value. You should have used a number like 270.

That's for going backwards. He's talking about playing the game with the camera upside-down.
 
Reversing the controls won't do much good if you use the mouse.. which a lot of people do.
