What does your computer desk look like?

Hey, I still have my old photos from the other thread in ZDoom.

Main desk:


Secondary desk (I run a dual computer set-up, practically a jury-rig with what I have going):

A black leather chair with a table. A wireless mouse and keyboard. Awesome speakers on the right side. And my sonic plushies on the left.

A 3 metre beach worktop.

I'll get back to you, might need a wide angle lens for this.

Ironically, my computer desk just snapped into pieces yesterday. Now it sits on a replacement desk that doesn't have room for speakers or a mouse.

See the footstool to the chair with the two books on it? Place laptop on books. Mouse goes on table to the right. It's not exactly a computer desk, but it's the closest I've got.

The Rollee chair says that already, though. I still have to stand up to get food, here. :P

Actually, it's because of the rug. If the TV was facing front, I would have to move the chair constantly, leaving trails on the rug. Even my parents agreed with me, anyway.

Yeah, that's an Intuos4 Tablet there. ^_~

Chaos Zero 64, you have a nice setup there, also, way to show spirit for the game on your television, but do you have a cable box setup, or is your computer where you watch your shows? But basically, its a nice setup, and I like that chair of yours.

Well, I finally got around to doing it:




Here they are, in all their glory! The left machine is Dull, a Dell PowerEdge 1600SC with two dual-core Xeon 2.40GHz processors, two 250GB SATA hardware RAID 1, two 80GB SATA hardware RAID 1, two 73GB Ultra320 SCSI hardware RAID 1, running Ubuntu 9.10 Server Edition. She is a web server, mail server, file server, backup server and a multi-client folding@home contributor. The other computer is a custom-built machine with an Athlon 64 3000+ Venice (socket 939) processor, one 80GB SATA system drive, one 200GB backup drive, NVIDIA GeForce FX 5600, running Windows Server 2008. The only reason it runs Windows is because its an AD-DS domain forest master for all the other Windows machines in the house, and it stores backups as well.

A Dell PowerConnect 2324 connects the two servers with the rest of the house, surrounded by spare hardware and a subwoofer (obviously connected to other speakers).

A Dell E151FPb 15" LCD monitor, with keyboard and mouse, connected to a D-Link DKVM-4 4-port KVM switch.

My ventilation =P A common household fan suspended by some planks of wood above an (accidentally created) hole in my wardrobe. I also have a window open all the time in my room to help with airflow.

Left router: Linksys WAG54GP2, provides the ADSL2+ (normally 15Mbps down, almost 1Mbps up) connection and the main WPA2 wireless network. Right router: D-Link DI-524, provides the private MAC-filtered WEP network for my Nintendo DS units to use. Both of which are being held up by supports because they cannot be wall mounted conveniently (have to have longer cables, you see >_>)

It's a 19" Dell M992 flat-screen CRT monitor (running at 1600x1200 =P).

You can get 1000 feet of Cat5e on eBay for £40 over here. Then £10 for 100 connectors. You'll love crimping at first, then learn to hate it.
