WA config file not working?

Hey all, I'm back from a ... long time gone...

Anyway, I've redownloaded the WCF to start making WADs again, but WadAuthor won't take it in - it keeps giving the "something's wrong" box. I've gone in the file itself and tried to fiddle, but nothing seems to work.

Any thoughts?

Yeah...

DON'T USE WADAUTHOR!!!

Use doombuilder or some GOOD program, okay?

P.S. if you don't know what that is, look around the MB.

I really have no way of knowing what it's actually asking of you. Wadauthor is a buggy bastard, but it's actually the most vital part of my wad-making :E.

The "Program Priority Order" of Digiku:
1. Wadauthor
2. Wintex
3. Deepsea
4. Doombuilder

I was bored :D

You need to supply it with a DOOM2.WAD, which probably isn't where the configuration file says it is.

Or, if you have hex editing skills, just use the srb2.srb supplied with FD 1.08
Change PWAD to IWAD in the very beginning. :E

Of course, from what I see, that doesn't really work with FD1.1, now that they've added CRC check :|.

You can always copy-paste it. I use a renamed version called srb2.wad for all of my editing needs, so I don't accidentally screw with it.

I've never had much of a problem with wadauthor, but I make small levels, too.
