SRB2Kart does not work on its own, it needs SRB2 2.0's files. If you haven't got SRB2 2.0, go download it from srb2.org's "Archived Versions" section.

Presumably it's best to go for 2.0.7, since I'm not sure if SRB2 Kart supports the earlier 2.0 releases.

SRB2 Kart files need to be in the same folder as all of SRB2 2.0's files, yes.

First of all you need to extract the Mod files inside "SRB2 2.0.X's" Folder (Not 2.1.X) and then Run it from it's "exe" and it should work...You can get this old version from : Archived Versions Section

uh, that's not how it works Duon.
From the sounds of it you play SRB2 in Windowed mode. 2.0's windowed mode doesn't let you change resolutions unlike in 2.1's. Just start up the game with a different resolution - presumably a launcher would be best for doing this.
