Default Post your favorite music

Post your favorite songs. I'm interested to see some other community members' musical tastes. Here are ten of my favorites, in no particular order:

Jake Chudnow - Going Down (I love the calm atmosphere of this song.)
Earth, Wind & Fire - September (This is the 70s.)
Jason Pedder - Five Dollar Bill (There's something about this song I love, I can't quite put my finger on it though.)
Minecraft - Credits (Minecraft has some great music, and this is some of the best combined into one.)
Sonic ATS - Mach Σ (This game has lots of wonderful music and this is one of my favorites.)
VVVVVV - Potential For Anything (This is still one of the best 8-bit songs I've heard. That part around the 2 minute mark is great.)
Sonic Unleashed - Adabat Night (This one's very underrated, definitely my favorite song from this game.)
Foo Fighters - Everlong (Everything about this song is amazing, I swear.)
Nirvana - Lithium (Iconic chorus and bass riff.)
Journey - Separate Ways (The lyrics are super cheesy, but I can't deny how awesome this song is.)

Oh gosh, I have so many I love. Okay, in no particular order, here are my top 10!

Michael Jackson: Smooth Criminal
GreenDay: Boulevard Of Broken Dreams
GreenDay: Time Of Your Life
Skillet: Monster
Three Days Grace: Misery Loves My Company
Skillet: Sick Of It
Kansas: Dust In The Wind
Michael Jackson: Who is It
Bad Religion: Atomic Garden
And since this is A video game forum, I guess it would be appropriate to add in one song from a video game.
Daniel Tidwell: At Doom's Gate/E1M1 Metal Cover/With Vocals.
If you like the video games, and game discussion, you'll probably like Extra Credits.

I'm big into music. Most of what I listen to nowadays lies outside of the mainstream, but I've not donned a fedora or flannel shirt yet. Just gonna put my top ten artists here, along with a link to one song by each.

(In no particular order)
Marilyn Manson
Head Phones President
Nine Inch Nails
Olivia Lufkin
The Protomen
Powerman 5000
Crush 40

If you want to know who these bands/artists are, tho, and why I enjoy them, click the following link to be taken to ten tumblr posts of mine where I go in-depth on all ten bands/artists.

Well, you wanted me to post here first, so...

Anyways, here's a highly eclectic list with vague descriptions, divided into two categories.

Some all-time favorites of mine:
Dirty Three - Sea Above, Sky Below - a trio of violin, guitar and drums
Do Make Say Think - Do - uplifting post-rock, prominent build-up and horns, gets loud
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - The Dead Flag Blues - post-rock with many different movements and samples
Jakob - Pneumonic - post-metal with ambient influences, gets loud
Laura - The Slow - noisy post-rock with vocals
A Silver Mt. Zion - 13 Angels Standing Guard 'Round the Side of Your Bed - mournful ambient post-rock
Stars of the Lid - Even If You're Never Awake (Deuxième) - ambient with strings
Stars of the Lid - Requiem for Dying Mothers, Part 2 - ambient with strings
Sundrugs - Moving Borders - drone/dark ambient

Stuff that I've recently listened to and liked:
Deathprod - Dead People's Things - really dark ambient drone
The For Carnation - Emp. Man's Blues - slowcore, with vocals
Keaton Henson - Josella - neoclassical, piano and strings
Oiseaux-Tempête - Opening Theme (Ablaze in the Distance) - improvisational post-rock, gets quite loud
Symbol - Lineage - loop-based ambient
The Tumbled Sea - Summer II - uplifting ambient with piano and strings
A Winged Victory for the Sullen - Atomos VII - neoclassical with slight ambient and electronica influences

My music taste changes a lot, so if this thread persists for a while I'll most likely make another post, but this is basically what it's like now.

Huh, if I have to list my favorite music, It would be basically a mix of J-POP and J-ROCK. Yousei Teikoku or Denkare, specifically.

Anyways, I'll leave only the names of the songs I actually have. If you know about a song of those 2 artist I don't have, lemme know.

Tenshi no Shitone
Elder Things
Endless Ripples
Endless Corridor

Yousei Teikoku:

Weiß Flugel
Zetsubou Plantation
Astral Dogma
The Creator
Dare so Ka no Gekka
Schwarzer Sarg
keep existing
Kikai Gensou Syoujo
Kokou no Suisei
Kuraki Sekai no Doukoku
Kuusou Mesorogiwi
Mischievous of Alice
Kyuusei Argyros
Kyouki Chinden
last moment
Hades: The Rise
Senketsu no Chikai

And that's all, I think.
Goes by Skychan or Hareimu on the IRC, depending on my activity on there.

I'm a big time music glutton and if a song features a Moog, Mellotron, DX7 or Hammond organ I've probably scrobbled it already. I put together a list of my current 30(-ish) favorite albums together three months ago, and made a playlist with one representative track from each so that people might actually listen to them

I've been trying to get my hands on everything by Jun Togawa lately. Came across this little masterpiece on youtube just now, and it's a cover of Rawhide. Yes, THAT Rawhide.

It's phenomenal.
