SonictheDalek had the idea for this thread, I merely executed it. If you have made a mod using SOCs and want to prevent SOC-mixing errors, post the state/thing/etc. number here.
 
I'll start with the Team Rebellion WADs (all of them).

Thing Numbers: 298-303

State Numbers: 1700-1711

Sprite Numbers: F007-F010

Sound Numbers: 139 (DSFRE002)

Guess someone has taken up my idea after all! XD
 
What SRB2 needs to do is remap state modifications to new slots. Of course, this would only work for freeslots.
 
Wouldn't this be better posted on the Wiki? I seem to recall a request for a section with custom WADs and their freeslots before. You guys could be good candidates to get an article started.

More people look at the MB than the wiki (Truth, face it.) So this would be where they would post it. Later we can gut the topic and put the lists into the wiki all at once.
 
Yep, copy the lists of all the SOC stuff and put it all in one big Wiki article, but we could also have this on both the MB and on the Wiki, just incase. Not everyone reads the Wiki, you know.

In fact, someone should sticky this as this could be very useful.
 
Bump'd and double post'd because I am not prepared to let this topic sink into the pit of oblivion and because I that this topic could have some potential.

Here's the current list of states and stuff so far. Either me or a moderator/admin can edit this post and add all additional state or whatever numbers that are reserved and stuff. We will let people know what WADs are and aren't compatible in this post by simply just stating it in brackets. You can also reserve a range of slot numbers for things, states or whatever for your WAD here. This goes both for mods in progress and completed WADs.

THINGS:
Team Rebellion (All 6 characters): 298-303
SF94-Serv: 245-263
Doomsday Pack: 249-250 (Incompatible with SF94-Serv)
Green Hill Zone: 249-254 (Incompatible with SF94-Serv)

Ok SSN, now that you have said it, use your suber-1337-uber-pwnsome powers to do it. kthnxbai *ban't* seriously though I'm really bumping this topic because it could be very useful to the community.
 
No offense to the developers, but why does the current system with things and states and such the way it is? Well, scratch the things, they're okay, but why don't you define the states in the thing itself?

If may be because of how I'm used to make things in a DOOM source port (guess which), but it just feels clunky.

Here's how I think it should be:

seestate *button*

Then, you input code: (text format due to simpleness of writing)
Code:
POSS ABC(ect...) 4(or whatever) A_something
more code
restart

Okay so what I put is stuff from that source port but meh. :P

Essentially, instead of socing sprites, you define them in a state, which you define in the thing.

Oh and anyone that likes this idea is free to put in the suggestion thread if you credit me.

SRB2 Star Wars:

You can only use the sounds and music from the mod. Everything else is off limits unless you are given permission by me or the author of that part of the mod.

I think you missed the point, you're meant to post the state/thing/etc numbers so people making SOCs don't overwrite them and cause chaos due to SOC-mixing...
