How do I choose which IWAD for srb2 to use?

You don't.

Unless you are willing to change the source code, to remove any and all checks on SRB2.SRB, then replace everything in it, wasting all of your time.

So just be happy with what you have.

Isn't there a command (to be used from command prompt) that sets an IWAD? Whatever it is (if it is), I can't find it!

Every version has it's own IWAD. You just can't pick pick an IWAD from another version and use it. This would most likely cause an error. Also I don't think there is a command for that. Although I could be wrong.

I checked it, and it has no effect in the current version. It did work in 1.09.4, but obviously it always crashed the game because of the MD5 check. I guess that's why it was removed.

I believe that is what I was thinking of SpiritCrusher, but you are right, it doesn't work with the current version!
