Ear Worms? Oh boy, this will be a long list....

Sonic 2: Boss theme: Link
Ever since I heard this song it has always stuck in my head, and won't leave me alone.

Sonic And Knuckles: Death Egg Zone Act 1: Link
I have always loved this song, something about it gave off that "final chase to win" feel for me. Although, it is beat by two other songs...

Sonic The Fighters: Death Egg's Eye: Link
This. This is a great way to get someone to panic in a way to make them enjoy a fight, first time I heard this song I knew I was in for a pounding, and was I right.

Sonic The Fighters: Death Egg's Hangar: Link
This, my friend, is also a great song for a "you are dead if you fail" feel. Although it isn't heard that much in Sonic The Fighters, it was used in Sonic All-Star Racing Death Egg. And the second I heard it there with all the other sounds of deathly machines, It made me want the game even MORE. In fact, this song, and the racing level was what inspired Egg Hanger[sic] that me and Sphere collaborated on!

Sonic Next-Gen: Solaris Phase 2: Link
I have always been a fan of orchestral songs, and when I heard this for the first time I loved it. And I randomly started humming it to myself ever since when I am in a epic battle of any kind.

Almost every Sonic game with a underwater level: THE COUNTDOWN: Link
Playing the old Sonic games at about 10 or so, I get to the water level in Chemical Plant. I am at the part where you jump on the moving yellow blocks to get up to a higher part when suddenly... THIS thing starts to play, scared the living daylights out of me and I made a scramble to get out, but failed because I was panicking. Ever since then I always have this thing stuck in my head for when a countdown is at the 10 seconds mark.

My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic: Cupcakes: Link
To further push the brony cause, well not really, but anyways! When I was taking a look to see what this whole thing was about, I picked the episode that had Pinkie Pie singing this song as one of my firsts ones. At first I thought it was annoying and moved on, but little did I know that throughout the rest of the time watching the show Pinkie was secretly planting her crazy little seeds in the back of my head, and now I can't eat a cupcake or even LOOK at one without playing this song in my head, or on the PC.

...That's it for now, more to come when it ISN'T 3AM....

I've been playing the indie arcade shmup Jamestown lately and my God the soundtrack for this game is fantastic.

A hundred times 'yes' for this soundtrack. How can an indie game I bought for £3.50 have such amazing music? I was trying to select just one or two songs to link, but in the end I decided to link them all in this post anyway. Because god damn, it's good.

INITIATING SONG MEMORIZATION PROCESS

How can an indie game I bought for £3.50 have such amazing music? I was trying to select just one or two songs to link, but in the end I decided to link them all in this post anyway. Because god damn, it's good.

Because those indie games and such are perfect opportunities for composers that are rising in the music field to get their work out there in the open, for people to see and appreciate. Being in the composing area myself, I know a number of composers who have got hired to make soundtracks for games like these. Although these people aren't anywhere near famous, it doesn't mean their music isn't still awesome.

These are the two guys in particular that I'm thinking of when I say this. I've known them both over at VGMusic forums.
Zack Parrish's Music
Anthony Morgan's Music
Both of these guys have some really good stuff, and are often working on soundtracks for some new little known game.

I've been a bit addicted to the OST for Cute Things Dying Violently , a game for XBOX live Arcade. I've never played the game, and I don't plan to, not being a fan of in your face violent games, but the tracks are pretty awesome. The reason I figured out about it was because they're actually made by a composer who I know. Not personally, but I've had lots of interaction with him through VGMusic.com, and music contests.
Track 4, Floating into Demise, is my favorite.
