There you go, and it's finished now, BTW.
 
On the contrary, look at Senku. Technically a recolor right? But it's not bad, it's actually very good. This particular one, I admit, needs work. And before trying to recolor a character, learn how to sprite, it's the only way to do it.

Senku's only 1337 because of wall-jump, in my opinion. (And Nitemare's only 1337 because of weird S_SKIN statistics, and Senya's not 1337. D=)
 
I think Shadow was a good character for that one game. He is a recolor. He should have died at the end of SA2. Also, what is his head suppost to be? I agree that it looks like you used the sharpen too much.
