After watching the video, there were some flaws that he pointed out.
1.The video creator said the controllers used IR to connect. You had to point the controller DIRECTLY infront of it to work. Even then, he said that they played terrible and had some lag. His final suggestion was to throw them out.
2.It has the same compatability issues. He showed a couple games that wouldn't work on the Genesis. They were Virtua Racing and a Street Fighter alpha 2, and finally. Castle Vania III. Though, he pointed out that this issue happens over and over on these types on machines.
3.
It does not play MS games out of the box. Nor would the Power Base Converter fit properly on the system. It may work if you modified the PBC, but I couldn't tell you for sure.

He did point out, even after these flaws. It IS worth it. They all have original controller outputs, the audio is great.(He pointed out that the sound was a little off)

It is the classic gamers dream!
