Mario's Job?

I've always been confused. What exactly is Mario's job/career? Is he a doctor, carpenter, or plumber?

**NOTE:** I am referring the the videogame character, Super Mario, not the rapper.

So did he quit his carpenter job or something? Because he was originally a carpenter.

Also, being a plumber AND a doctor sounds unsanitary.

He was originally in Donkey Kong if I'm correct.

And since Mario goes through pipes in SMB, I guess they just thought a plumber would fit his style.
 
Retired plumber, now full time SuperHero, he also seems to have a medical degree.

Well, I'd consider him a superhero, he has inhuman agility at least.
 
And archaeologist.(Did I spell that right?) Any way I'm to tired to tell you what games both of them are in. Maybe some one else.

Yoshi's Cookie, I believe. Also in the Modern rendition of the Egg game in Game & Watch Gallery 3.

Edit: And the Mario Bros. game from the same collection.
 
He was a Carpenter (Donkey Kong), on Destruction Crew (Wrecking Crew),
A Baker (Yoshi's Cookie), Was and Probably is a Plumber (Mario Bros.), Served in the Army (Mario's Bombs Away, a Game and Watch Game), and Worked in the Packaging section of a Bottling Plant (the Game and Watch version of Mario Bros.).

..and sometimes works as a doctor.
