Windows Live Messenger problems

I've had problems signing onto WLM since yesterday, I tried restarting my computer a whole bunch, even reinstalling the program itself and when I troubleshoot it, it says there's an error with the "key ports" and I'm not sure which ports need to be opened or how to forward them, help please?

Well, you could try looking it up on www.portforward.com

Ofcourse, why in the hell are you using Windows Live in the first place.

I'm using Windows Live, because some of my contacts don't prefer to use IRC and I checked port forward.com and I wasn't sure how it really worked..

Because AIM has annoying sounds and generally looks terrible?



Can't say I've ever had to open ports for Messenger. Does it give you an error code when you try to sign in? If so, what?

Just use something new, damn.

I use:

- AIM
- MSN
- ICQ
- Skype
- IMVU
- MIRC
