Why does it say in the credits "Published by a 28k dial up modem" Did that modem have actual importance, or is there some inside joke I don't understand.

All versions up through 1.09.4 were published with a dialup modem.

Even if sepwich didn't die, a lot of the old custom content for final demo versions was actually hosted on external sites like sendspace, mediafire, megaupload, the like anyway. Most such SRB2 addons hosted on those sites were long gone by the time sepwich closed. On the other hand official SRB2 stuff had moved to srb2.org ages before that happened anyway.

Also the old source codes (only as far back as 1.08 though) were accessible through trac.srb2.org back in the day actually, but that's no longer up. You can still try code.srb2.org if you have an SVN client, on the other hand.

On the other hand lol "pre-mb.srb2.org" forum posts, those was lost for a different reason; the SRB2MB at the time crashed in October 2003, and as a result all to that point was lost. The MB started up again the next month, explaining why our earliest posts only go back to November 2003.

Trac.srb2.org is not 'enabled' on the new server, as well of code.srb2.org

I just so not want to set back up the CGI gateway or SVNDAV on the new server.....
