I would advice putting a black rectangle covering the screen below the menus and such (of course not during normal gameplay, just menu browsing), to make it easier to read on bright backgrounds.

Oh, and of course, make sure to give the black rectangle the V_HUDTRANSHALF flag, to make it halfway transparent according to the HUD transparency the player has chosen in SRB2.

You can just disable analog for as long as you're hanging on them, plus, the back view is better to have an idea of height IMO.

yay my post made a shitty title for a post.
i fell proud yet ashamed at the same time.
it fells good.
but back to the topic this is really neat even if this is just the explosion shield blast as a charge shot and taking a nap is just setting health to the maximum point but the fading in and out effect is what matters and that is really neat

The question is, how? The last time I've seen something like this, Lat' scripted a hell of a lot, as well as having extra frames for each 45th angle of a slope. (That was a lot especially for one level.)

It's pretty evident it's just a zoom tube with different sprites. You can see tails phasing into the loop several times, constant speed through-out the loop, etc.
