Favorite least know/reconized characters

Mine would have to be Luigi. I asked about 50 kids at my school on friday if they knew about him. 45 people said they didn't know who he was, then I asked them about Mario, and all of them knew who he was.
 
Before Sonic Heroes(Both due to Espio appearing in a mainstream Sonic game, and due to me being less mature), Espio. Now, it would have to be Mighty.

Probably a little more well known due to Halo 3, though. Eh.
 
What characters are 'least-known'?

Ristar was cool, as was Nack, and the Chaotix gang.

I would be inclined to say Mighty, but I think he's pretty easily singled out as the only Chaotix member that was not shown in Sonic Heroes.

As for least recognized, how about Dr. Robotnik. =P
 
Sonic is well known. You're on a SONIC forum. And there are about 36,000,000 other Sonic fans, I think. I'm talking about character that have been in one game, yet played a important role, yet never returned.
I'm the only Luigi fan within 50 miles.
