ERZ-like Space Vacuum

The answer is probably simpler than it seems, but how do you make an area that pulls the player into space like in ERZ2? I've tried the wiki and still can't figure it out.

EDIT: All I need to know is how to make it pull you into space, not on a timer or with a door or anything.

A strong wind/current effect, usually. Put it on an invisible/intangible FOF that you move in and out of position in order to turn the "suction" on and off.

Generally, looking at the levels themselves will help. SRB2's stages are in zones.dta.
 
How do I make a strong wind/current effect? I can only get it to work in a small radius. I also tried zones.dta. It makes it seem much more complicated than it probably is.
 
"radius"? You're not using the pull/push thing types in your map are you? If you are, you don't need those for the wind effect.

In any case, the strength of wind is determined by the length of the control linedef for your wind effect.
