What was your FIRST Sonic game?

Sonic 1. Gosh, if the goal was to compete with Mario, it was a terrible game. Game was designed for a way older audience than who they were targeting.

My first played Sonic game is Ultimate Flash Sonic, that "Demo" of Sonic Advance 2 made in Adobe Flash. (Does somebody remember this one?)

My First owned Sonic game was Sonic Heroes. For PS2.

Probably mentioned somewhere on this board before but my first Sonic game was the first game I ever played which was Sonic Advance 3. I had got that alongside a Gameboy Advance SP and Monkey Ball Jr. for my sixth birthday.

First played: Sonic 3 & Knuckles (Emulator)
First Owned: SRB2 1.09.4

I still know quite the tricks on these two.

My first Sonic game that I can recall is Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games for the DS, but the true first Sonic game I played was Sonic Rush.

Sonic Rush?
i wish i was you. .-.

I mean, Sonic Rush is one great game, still, i had it, but my DS broke. .-.

The closest thing to the first Sonic game I can remember playing is Sonic 2 on the Mega Drive. I was really young back then, so my memory is quite fuzzy. Strangely, the parts that were associated with that were from Chemical Plant Zone and Casino Night Zone.

In terms of first owned... I think it was Sonic Unleashed on the Wii.

The first Sonic game I played was Sonic 2 on that PS3 Genesis collection. I remember being the first out of my family to beat the Death Egg Robot, it was so satisfying.

The first Sonic game I played was Sonic Mega Collection on the Nintendo Gamecube, as for which game in there I don't remember exactly which ones first, but I'm pretty sure it was Sonic 1 and Sonic 2. I also didn't know how to spindash for quite a while as a six year old, which made progress strange at times.

I am completely sure that my first Sonic Game was SRB2 (1.04 in 2007-2009, lol until 2011 i saw 2.0 and until 2017 i saw Netgames)

Original... i don't remember, but i guess it was Sonic Heroes because it was the only original game i had in PC and i didn't have any Sonic game in consoles.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles. The game to impress me and win me over in 2015. At the time, there weren't all that many good games coming out, so I played it and enjoyed it. If I had not played Sonic 3 & Knuckles, I wouldn't be here to interact with the community.

S3&K is an all time classic for sure, but... “not all that many games coming out” in 2015?
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Ori and the Blind Forest
Resident Evil Revelations 2
Final Fantasy Type-O HD (first English release)
Bloodborne
Axiom Verge
Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin
Shovel Knight
Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse
Splatoon
Rocket League
Freedom Planet
Metal Gear Solid V Phantom Pain
Super Mario Maker
Undertale
Transformers: Devastation
Yoshi Woolie World
Yakuza 5

I thought it was a pretty great year for games, lol.

I grew up with the original Sonic The Hedgehog and Sonic The Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Mega Drive :P
(I didn't experience S3K until Sonic Mega Collection + for Playstation 2 - THAT is home to MANNNNY memories)
I also had a Super Sonic Gold plug 'n play by Radica (It had S1, S2, Spinball and MBM)

Mine was Sonic Adventure DX demo. since I was young I thought that there's no the full one of this game But well, I played it already. then headed to Sonic Heroes demo and again I thought that there's no full one but I played it... yeah very dunno I am.

Could have sworn we had another thread like this, oh well...

My first Sonic game was Sonic the Hedgehog 1, on a bootleg CD that had about 100 Megadrive ROMs with an emulator, shops used to sell them very cheap around here, I'm not ashamed to say I never bothered to finish the game, much like the rest of the Genesis games, they seemed like any other Platformer I have played before it, then as I was scrolling the list of ROMs I discovered Sonic 3D Blast, and that was what really got me into Sonic Games, love the aesthetic and the music, I never minded any of it's control or gameplay-related issues, in fact, I didn't even know about them until years later when I found out people complained about the gameplay not being traditional Sonic-style and the slipperiness of controls.

Then as I was reading more about the game on google and youtube I stumbled upon a Gameplay video of Red Volcano Zone from SRB2, the video didn't mention the name of the game, but Thankfully some people in the comments were kind enough to give the name of the game, 3D Blast was my first true Sonic game and I wouldn't have discovered SRB2 or even got into Sonic games in the first place without it, 2D Sonic games don't interest me as much as the 3D ones, despite 3D Sonic era's poor reputation.

I know I played the really old SRB2 when I was younger, but I think my first sonic game I played was Sonic Mega Collection Plus or the Game Gear/Master System ones.(I played them on my brother's hacked PSP)

Sonic classic collection?

Mine was Sonic Classic Collection on the Nintendo DS. In other words. it was the first 3 sonic games

First game: Sonic & Knuckles (Probably)
Emulator: KEGA Fusion

By the way, this is my first ever post here on the Message Board, hi everyone!

Welp... lemme think

It had to be Sonic Colors, or a game like that.
Games that are based on outer space and are really pretty catch my eye.
Even though there may not be as many Sonic games as good as colors, it was a really, really good game, and I'm glad I played it.
