The progress of this level is on the SRB2 Wadbase. This is my first level released on any of the two forums. The download link is right here.
Old: Link

The new one: Link

And the music wad: Link

The pictures are kinda bad but they link together.

Well that's about it. This is for SRB2Riders Mario Kart mode, replaces Metallic Hall and should be played in Software mode until I figure out the problem it's having. The new version though takes up MAP28.

I've been looking at the map over and over, and I can't find the cause of the lag.

Adding a thok barrier would only fix the lag on the land side. The water side is still laggy, so it sort of narrows it down.

I took off the water on the underwater pipe, and some of the lag was gone. I took off the stairs and the water, and it also cleared some of the lag.

It's all about FOF lag. Removing some of them piece by piece removes some of the lag. It's a shame, because it's an awesome idea, and it looks awesome.

Hmm, that is a problem but like I said to daiches99, you're levels lag a bit (no offence) so it might fit with the theme. Sorry if it's a pain but it might just be best if we leave it now.

I haven't noticed any levels lagging in CZ64's levels, unless you mean in opengl (which I can't use).

Well the start of Metal City lags if you look closely and in Splash Canyon there is a lot of lagging.

Thank You its AWESOME KEEP DOING MORE WADS OK?

I keep on saying this. Of course I'll be making more wads, ones based on Autumn trees, one based on Rainbow Road and one based on Dry Dry Ruins. I'll be making more, don't worry.

I don't think it's possible to remove the lag. I removed all the water FOFs, all the stalagmites and other unessesary sectors, and the side walls and ceiling of the underwater path. I ended up with a dried-up wasteland, and I STILL had lag. Although that lag is what I call "normal" lag, like what an average computer has when you try to run Botanic Serenity - midend.

Well I noticed I had WAY less lag in 640x400 then in 1280x800, let alone 1440x900. -_-;

Well, I've just gotten a pm from CZ64. He had just sent me a version with a lot less lag. I've got to do some more things to it before I'll post it up. Also I'll put up a version which has more curviness in the areas of the pipe.

Edit: Got the Link

I'll test that later when I'm back from school.
I can't wait to see the finished up version.
Could you maybe change the music to the carribeanish type music when you go down the river and back to the normal music when off the river.
Could you also change it to the underwater music when you go in the pipe and back to normal when out of the pipe?

I know how to change the music in those two spots but could you give the music to use, that's already in SRB2. =D

About what? I can't put music into SRB2 because I believe every XWE I have is screwed. It doesn't make any sense.

Well then, this is a good bump. I have a wad with the music for this level. It automatically changes the music to the Koopa Cape music not the GFZ2 music because there is a MAINCFG is there, here you go.

It's in a mediafire account because SRB2FFH takes a long time to upload things. I'll upload some new mirrors if possible.

Edit: Uhh, stupid verification. It's taking too long to upload, I'll give you the link later.

Edit 2: Done, it's in a zip format. No 7z or rar, good for you. =D
