A nightmare has come to me....

What should I do? My other PC with ALL of my SRB2 stuff, won't even load up! It's broken, and I've checked everything! My keyboard won't even work. Fellow computer nerds, lend me your ears, and tell me what to do to fix it....
 
What I mean is that when I turn my computer on, the wallpaper shows up, but none of the icons show up, like "my Documents" or "My Computer"
Nothing shows up! The screen is just the wallpaper.
 
Have you waited for over an hour? If you have, then it's not working right.

Oh, is it just the wallpaper that shows?
 
Dose the task bar pop up? This happened to me on my PC, and I had to use the repair thing on my XP CD. But then I found out it was my Processor >.>.

Anyway, if the task bar is there, right click your desktop and go to "Arrange Icons by->show desktop icons".

But if not then you're screwed, as Pepe said.
 
I did figure out what was wrong, so I fixed it by logging off, then logging back on, (which worked) But, now when I load up SRB2, all of the sound effects don't work, all I can hear is the music, never the jumping, or ring noises, nothing. Now what?
 
Use a boot CD or something similar to rescue your most important things, then... Format if it's necesary... :\
