First, I thought there was a secret under it, but I didn´t find anything interesting. Maybe you can break it with the gargoyles of the tunnel??

I saw that one too as Knux. It would be actually nice if there was a secret zone around that statue...

It's one of Sonikku's level signatures. The V is for "Doktor Vawlbenk".

He has also placed "Sonikku" in japanese in two maps that he had a significant contribution in, DSZ1 and CEZ2. Can you find them?

Well in DSZ1, the serpents floor actually, if you look well, do a S, there's even a serpent floor with spikes.
