I see a lot of strange things being thrown around in this thread about Meadow Match. When I originally set up 2.0's match mode, I set up Jade Valley as a sort of "default" map. Those of you who remember the match beta would probably remember that Jade Valley was prominently featured, and Meadow Match wasn't involved. I was actually planning on removing Meadow Match in 2.0.
However, there were many complaints by other people on the team that I didn't include Meadow Match despite having properly ported it for testing in small games. I included it as the last map in the rotation, and it's the last map for a reason: it's not intended to be a serious map. It isn't a "tutorial" map, it's a map for people who want to play a game of 1v1 without spending too much time trying to find the other player, or a map for people who want to blow off steam by cramming 20 players into a room that clearly isn't big enough for that. Many serious games have maps that are weird and included for that reason, and Meadow Match is ours. It is not (and will not be) balanced, and we'd be fools to try; we have serious maps for that purpose. If you want to play a map that embodies the basics of SRB2 match in a balanced environment, there is a reason Jade Valley, not Meadow Match, is the first map in the rotation and the default the game selects.
Now, if your problem with Meadow Match is that people keep playing it and only it on the master server, your problem is actually with the people who play SRB2 on the master server, because Meadow Match is only one option in our selection. Those people would be hosting some similarly stupid map if Meadow Match wasn't in the game, so I don't see why removing it would help you suddenly find a good game of match on the master server like you guys seem to be arguing it will.
